This gala honors the remarkable achievements of Black sports professionals in Phoenix, highlighting the deep connection between sports, culture, and artistic expression. More than just a celebration, it’s a tribute to Black excellence, bringing the sports community together for a night of recognition, live entertainment, silent auctions, networking, and more.

Hosted at the historic George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center, the gala will spotlight the vital contributions of African Americans to Arizona's rich history through art and culture.

Join us for an evening that redefines the power and influence of sports in the Valley!

EVENING ENTERTAINMENT

The National Society of Black Sports Professionals' "Sport Is Art" Gala will feature an unforgettable night of live entertainment with world-class performances by Bruce the Violinist and DJ Acronym.

 

Bruce will captivate the audience with his unique fusion of classical and contemporary violin, while DJ Acronym will keep the energy high with dynamic beats that blend perfectly with the evening's artistic celebration.

 

Together, they’ll create an electric atmosphere, making this gala an event to remember.

We are excited to have Emmy Award-winning journalist Yetta Gibson, 3TV Weeknight Anchor & Host of "Original with Yetta Gibson," as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the BSP Phoenix Annual "Sport Is Art" Gala.

With nearly two decades of experience, Yetta started her career in Atlanta, eventually landing on the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show. Now a key personality in the Valley of the Sun, she is known for her engaging storytelling and strong connection with the community.

A proud mom of two, Yetta’s passion for people and storytelling will bring energy and excitement to our evening. We’re thrilled to have her lead us through this celebration of sport and art!
